Duke-Femilist is an electronic mailing list devoted to feminist and gender issues of interest to the Duke community. Established in September 1994, the list was previously affiliated with Women's Studies, but Duke-Femilist now serves as the Women's Center listserv. Duke-Femilist is open to all interested subscribers--faculty, staff, undergraduates, graduate students, alumni/ae, and community members.

The purpose of Duke-Femilist is to facilitate discussion of feminism and gender issues. Any topic that falls into that general area is appropriate. Although the primary constituency of the list is members of the Duke community, discussions of local, national, or international events or issues of interest to subscribers is certainly welcome.

Examples of possible topics for posting:
* Campus events related to feminism and gender issues.
* Community activities surrounding women's/gender issues.
* Wider area feminist concerns.

Announcements of speakers, courses, conferences, or other events related to feminist and gender issues are strongly encouraged. Announcements of completely unrelated events, however worthy, should be directed to more general forums.
