Interested in feminist and gender-related issues? Volunteer at the Women's Center!

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers in the following areas:
- Front Desk Team — performs various office-related duties, including answering phone calls, greeting guests, and responding to questions about the Women’s Center and its activities.
- Book Exchange Team — assists the Office Coordinator with maintaining the Center’s lending library.
- Gender Issues Programming Team — assists with programming and outreach specifically to undergraduate students and to the larger campus community at Duke.
- VOICES Editorial Board — responsible for a variety of tasks involving writing, editing, layout, and promotion of VOICES Magazine and other literature published by the Women’s Center.
- GPWN (Graduate and Professional Women's Network) Programming Committee — responsible for planning events for GPWN, a program that provides Duke's graduate and professional women students with personal and professional networking opportunities.
- Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Programming Committee — responsible for planning events for WiSE, a student organization for women graduate students and post-doctoral associates working to improve the climate for women in the sciences and engineering at Duke.
- SASS (Sexual Assault Support Services) Team — works in conjunction with SASS professional staff and student programmers to plan, organize, publicize, and execute a series of fall and spring programs aimed at reducing the risk of sexual assault and dating violence for students campus wide.
- SHARP (Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention) Peer Educators — after completing an intensive initial training, SHARP peer educators participants in ongoing professional development while presenting engaging, challenging, interactive workshops and discussion groups per year round.
- "Saturday Night: Untold Stories Of Sexual Assault at Duke" — a student publication devoted to representing students' and their support networks' diverse experiences with sexual violence.
- MAC (Men Acting for Change) Team — MAC is a group of Duke men dedicated to addressing men’s roles at Duke and working to create a safer and healthier community, especially by addressing gender-related violence.
